VALENCIA, Calif., November 30, 1998 - 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq NMS: TDSC) today announced the appointment of David Flynn to the newly created position of technical director. In this role, Flynn will report to Charles Wilson, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.

"Dave's extensive knowledge of the solid imaging industry and the different perspective he can provide as a previous long-term customer will be a great asset to our strategic marketing team," said Wilson. "He will be responsible for providing technical expertise as it relates to the company's industry marketing activities, product and applications development, and will also play a vital role in expanding the company's technology partnerships."

Prior to joining 3D, Flynn, age 38, was vice president of Plynetics Express Corporation, a leading provider of rapid prototyping and rapid tooling services. Plynetics Express was formed by the merger of three companies, including Prototype Express, which Flynn co-founded and served as president and chief operating officer.

Flynn's experience with 3D's technology began in 1987 with beta testing of the first commercially installed stereolithography machine while employed as an engineer at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He is also a former chairman of the North American Stereolithography Users Group.

Flynn holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
