VALENCIA, Calif., Sept. 3, 1999 - 3D Systems Corp. (Nasdaq NMS: TDSC) today announced that its senior vice president and chief financial officer, Frank J. Spina, plans to resign in October and will provide transitional consulting services to the company.

The company further stated that until a successor is named, Arthur B. Sims, chairman and chief executive officer, will serve as acting chief financial officer.

"We appreciate Frank's contributions to 3D Systems during his tenure, as well as his help in ensuring an orderly transition," Sims said. "He is leaving solely for personal reasons and we wish him the best."
